
Benjamin Rafii, MD, is a board-certified otolaryngologist with advanced fellowship training in laryngology and the care of the professional voice. He specializes in voice, airway, throat, and swallowing disorders, as well as thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
A Los Angeles native, Dr. Rafii earned his undergraduate degree from UCLA and his medical degree from Stanford. He completed residency training in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery at NYU, followed by a prestigious fellowship at the UCLA Voice Center for Medicine and the Arts.
Dr. Rafii has extensive experience treating vocal professionals, including singers, actors, and public speakers. He performs advanced in-office procedures such as vocal cord injections, biopsies, and laser therapy. His surgical expertise also includes nerve-sparing thyroid and parathyroid surgery, drawing on training with leading surgeons in both New York and Los Angeles. Dr. Rafii's combined training in head and neck surgery and laryngology has allowed him to focus a large part of his practice on the rehabilitation of vocal cord and voice issues following medical procedures, including thyroid surgery.

Dr. Rafii is board-certified with the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and is a member of several academic societies, including the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American Laryngological Association. He is proud to be recognized as an LA ENT Top Doctor by Los Angeles Magazine for the past five years in a row. His research has been published in numerous nationally recognized medical journals, and he frequently gives educational lectures to both the medical and the community.
